I was given a salad at a good friends house that was the wierdest salad I had ever had but it worked.  You see this is what MyDish is supposed to be about….you find great alternatives, you sdhare them, you make them for different friends and they what they discover.

So the salad is a roasted vegetable salad with mint and figs.  Firstly I never thought people ate mint leaves …I always use mint to flavour food and mostly to flavour drinks – but I ate the mint leaves together with parsley and was surprised that it worked.

This is the roasted vegetable salad by scrumptious – my friend Sandy.  Now that we are getting warmer weather it is great to make a salad with a different.  We have a number of easy homemade salad recipes. Tell me some more to try I am fascinated now by what I have been missing
