Lebanese Recipes

Lebanese cuisine typically contains an abundance of starches such as breads and rice and plenty of fresh fish, meats and vegetables. The meze are an integral part of Lebanese recipes and consist of many small dishes and dips that accompany a main meal or make up a meal in themselves.

Lebanese food is similar to other middle eastern recipes such as Turkish recipes and is fresh and healthy food that is full of flavour.

Chicken is the most commonly eaten meat due to its availibility, and lamb is a popular meat on the coast.Meat is usually grilled with lemon, garlic and herbs and eaten with rice and Lebanese flatbeads called Lavash.
