About me
I am a bit of a strange bird when it comes to food. I know what I like and I like what I know. My expertise in the kitchen is limited and I tend to get by on a wing and a prayer but am hoping to improve my skills through this website. I generally try to cook to impress the birds and would like to become a celebrity chef, earn loads of cash and feather my nest. I know I am not the most beautiful bird in the world (parrot has that great honor) but I certainly feature as one of the strangest. I can also produce a pretty good egg, equivalent to about 30 of those puny chicken eggs. Beat that if you can - no no dont - only joking! - that's my kid you'r talking about!

Beautiful Peanut Butter Cookies

I love making these with my kids. They are very easy to make and don't tend to last long in our house, because I'm a total biscuit fiend.
Bechamel Sauce
By lizziep
This recipe is a much quicker and easier version of the classic bechamel sauce - you dont need to make a roux, just put all the ingredients in together and heat - it really works!
Brisket in Ginger Ale
By Moody Judy
Delicious brisket recipe - I love it because it is yummy, easy, must be made in advance and it freezes well - a working mother's dream.
