About me
Having previously worked in sales and marketing for 20 odd yrs, I made the decision to stop the weekly 200mile trek to work, the stress and the noise etc, in fact the whole job ! I needed a life change. I am now happily driving a private hire vehicle as a taxi driver in Harrogate. And while I have other projects in the pipeline this is proving to be the change I needed, and I work with a great bunch of misfits ! With my recent career change I am usually working at night and therefore cooking is no longer a frequent event ( my wife says it never was :-))So currently restricted to making a couple of meals a week for the family, wife and 3 teenagers - who either dont pitch up when ready, moan about whatever it is, or just scoff it and then disappear without comment. Are'nt they a joy ! Cooking Style tends to be anything I can prepare stick in an oven and leave.. the longer the better. So Casseroles and slow cooking are a current fav. But also like to bake ( the yorkshire lasses at work seem to find a man who bakes as a bit dodgy - but then follow that with a " but then you are a southerner after all I will add a variety of grub as I get time, and hope this will help other members who are time poor, and also provide me with new inspiration as I find the biggest problem not the cooking but thinking what the heck to make in the first place. Fabulous Chocolate Espresso Cake
a chocolate espresso cake that sinks in the middle as it cools and has a cake texture on the outside moving to a fudgy soft but dense centre mmmm
