When I'm not typing away on my PC at work I can usually be found acting, singing or helping behind the scenes of my local drama group. Thanks to some excellent cooks in the cast we get to enjoy some fabulous homemade cakes backstage. I wish I could whip up something equally wonderful. There's also the small matter of my eight-year-old son - who thinks there are far more interesting things to do than sit down and eat (at least he's not a couch potato). My 17-year-old daughter has recently been experimenting with cooking (I think it's because she's in love) and has begun menu planning for when she goes to Uni next year. Now I've found this site I'm planning to balance precariously on a kitchen chair to retrieve some of the handwritten recipes I've been given over the years from the top of the cupboards where they are gathering dust and preserve them on MyDish for posterity.
