I love to cook - it’s my thing. I have been cooking for over 60 years, ever since I was evacuated to the Suffolk countryside, Framlingham to be precise, during the Blitz and had to help out with the chores. The food I experienced during this time was very different to what I had been used to growing up in East London. Fresh farm produce was available every day and this gave me a real love for good wholesome fare and how I came to "love" to cook many of the traditional “British” specialities. This experience changed me more than any other and is the reason why I never went back to live in the city. Through this website (terrific idea Mydish – thanks), I plan to detail out many of my secrets and share them with you. I also plan to make a cook book here which I shall have printed and give to my pals and my beautiful granddaughter Zoe and grandson John (Junior), so they will all have something real to remember me by.
