Hi I'm Lisa and I'm the Communications Manager at Jeans for Genes. Food is an absolute pleasure for me, although I haven't eaten meat for more than 15 years. I used to loving cooking with my mum and would always help to peel, chop, stir and of course taste! I don't get much time to cook these days but I really enjoy it when I create something special. My favourite restaurant at the moment (it changes all the time!) is the Duke of Cambridge, an organic pub in Islington in London with a seasonal menu that changes daily, depending on what ingredients are available at the market that day.
Chocolate is high on my list of favourite foods. Also up there are Greek dishes like spanakopita and halloumi, finished off by my mum's wonderful gooseberry ice cream - hard work to make but so worth it! My speciality is lentil chilli. It's much tastier than it sounds, especially if you have leftovers as the flavour develops on the second day.
