Chocolate Brownies
This recipe was given to me by Catherine Young in Southampton about 15 years ago and I have been making it ever since. My children and all their friends love it. Very easy!
Date and Rhubarb Cake
A favourite of my mother-in-law. Great to make when there is a glut of rhubarb in the early summer. Is really nice as a pudding served with custard.
Gingerbread
Have used this recipe to make a gingerbread house birthday cake. Make a pattern of the sides of the house in paper and use to cut out shapes. Stick together with icing-decorate!!
Pavlova
Always a firm favourite after I discovered the perfect recipe. You can't really go wrong and is delicious with so many combinations of fruits.
Sarah's Boiled Fruit Cake
Given to me by Sarah Edmondson 15 years ago. Very easy. Good alternative to Xmas cake if you run out of time.
