Garlic Mushrooms with Cream

Ingredients

  • 12 oz Small button mushrooms
  • 1½ oz Butter
  • 1 Fat garlic clove crushed
  • To taste Salt and black pepper
  • ¼ Pint Double cream

Method

1. Trim the ends of the mushroom stalks.

2. Melt the butter in a large pan.

3. Add mushrooms and garlic and cook gently for about 5 mins.

4. Add salt and pepper to taste, stir in the cream and simmer gently for a further 5 mins or until the mushrooms are tender.

5. Divide between four small ramekins and serve at once with warm granary rolls.
