Method
Heat oven to 180C
Grease 2 baking trays or line with greaseproof paper.
1. Cream together the butter/marg, lard and sugar until light and fluffy.
2. Add egg and beat.
3. Stir in the flour and chocolate powder and mix well.
4. Roll mixture into walnut sized balls (this is easier with damp hands), and roll in the crushed maltesers
5. Place on baking tray and flatten slightly. Bake for 15 minutes.
6. Leave to cool slightly on the baking tray and then place on cooking rack to cool.

- 130g butter or margarine
- 80g Lard
- 150g caster sugar
- 1 egg
- 300g self raising flour
- 1 tablespoon Malteser hot chocolate powder
- 100g crushed maltesers
