Malteser Mousse

Method

  • 1) melt the chocolate in the microwave stirring every 10 secs until completely melted.
  • 2)in a seperate bowl wisk on fast speed the egg whites until they form soft peaks then add the sugar and wisk until it forms stiff peaks.
  • 3) mix half the egg mixture with the chocolate as roughly as you like until equilly chocolatty.
  • 4)add the remaining egg whites and the maltesers and fold in gently to get a light texture.
  • 5)In a bowl wisk you cream until stiff.
  • 6) into your mousse glasses pour 1/3rd of the chocolate mousse then top with the cream, press the strawberries into the cream.
  • 7) repeat twice until you use up all the mousse. top with malteser haves and strawberry slices and put in the fridge to set for atleast 2 hours before serving.

    • 2 egg whites
    • 30g sugar
    • 50g Milk Chocolate
    • 1 pack maltesers
    • 100g Whipping Cream
    • 20g Strawberries

    I love this recipe, my mum made them for me when i was timy and that was it, my chocolate and malteser cravings sorted for a life time
