1. Slice up the onions and fry.
2. Pour in the vinegar stiring all the time.
3. Cook for about 10 mins until the onions have some colour.
4. Add butter and stir well until melted.
5. Add the flour
6. Cook for a further 5 mins.
7. Add the stock and simmer on a low heat fro a short time.
8. There you have it!

This was before the days of Bisto. Takes a bit of time to make but certainly worth the hassel if yiu want a real authentic gravy that all will love and come back for mor. Great to go with that roast for Sunday lunch.
