preheat the oven to 200c/180c fan/gas 6, lay the puff pastry on a baking sheet and mark a border round the edge with a sharp knife,1.5cm in, without cutting all the way through, brush inside the edge of the border with egg, bake for 10 minutes, mix the soft cheese with the rest of the beaten egg and half the parmesan and spread on the pastry, top with the asparagus and brush it with the melted butter, sprinkle on the rest of the parmesan, bake in the oven for a further 15mins.
