Method

  • 1. Take a small/medium bowl.
  • 2. Finely Chop up the onions, garlic and parsley and put in bowl.
  • 3. Add the olive oil, Balsamic vinegar and Worcestershire sauce.
  • 4. Mix well and slightly crush.
  • 5. Leave to the side.
  • 6. Take the Bacon out of the package, slice each bacon lengthways down the middle into two slices.
  • 7. Take one scallop first of all. Lie the slice of bacon down and place the scallop at the end. Roll the scallop down the bacon like a wheel. once bacon is wrapped around the scallop, fasten with a cocktail stick.
  • 8. Repeat with all.
  • 9. Turn the gas hob on, and place the saucepan over the heat.
  • 10. On a medium heat, pour the onion, garlic and parsley mixture onto the pan.
  • 11. Leave for around 2 minutes..
  • 12. Place the scallops onto the the pan also.
  • 13. Turn scallops and onions occasionally leaving on the heat for around 5-10minutes, or until onion mixture is browned and scallops and bacon are browned on the edges.
  • 14.Take off the heat and serve two scallops to each person, with a side portion of onion mix.
  • 15. For presentation, take a parsley leave and place on top of the scallop.

    • 8 Fresh scallops. shelled and cleaned
    • 4 Back bacon rashers
    • 1 white onions finely sliced
    • 3 cloves garlic. peeled and finely chopped
    • 2 tbl spoons balsamic vinegar
    • 2 tbl spoons olive oil
    • Handful Flat leaf parsley. finely chopped
    • 8 cocktail sticks
    • ½ tbl spoon Worcestershire sauce
