Preheat oven to 180 Degrees C, Gas Mark 4.
Butter / grease two 28cm x 18cm swiss roll trays / two round cake trays, and line these with baking paper.
Melt the butter in a large saucepan over a low heat. Add the brown sugar and the Golden Syrup and gently stir / fold this into the butter - until the texture is smooth.
Add the oats and seeds, stirring in as you do so - mis well.
Spread the contents equally across both tins, smoothing this down to a flat level.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Leave the flapjacks to cool for 15 minutes in the tins, before cutting them into equal pieces. Store them in an airtight tin and share them with your Pa on Father''s Day, with a cup of tea. My father is 73 this year and he loves them!
PS: As a special treat, you could melt some cooking chocolate and spread this over the top of the flapjacks before cutting into pieces - a bit naughty, but yummy!
PPS: I won my Girlguiding UK badge making this recipe for my Guide Leader, Mrs Melody!
