Chocolate Cake

    Ingredients

    • 3 oz. cocoa
    • 2 oz. flour
    • 4 oz. butter
    • few drops of vanilla
    • 1 oz. ground rice
    • 3 oz. caster sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 tbsp. baking powder

    Method

    • 1. Cream the butter and sugar, dissolve cocoa in a little milk, then mix with butter. After, add the yolks one at a time and beat well.

      2. Mix the flour and rice together, stirring the mixture. Lastly, add the whites of eggs whipped to a stiff froth. Pour into a well-greased cake tin.

      3. Bake in a moderate oven for 15 minutes.

      This is just the cake with no icing.
