1. Heat oil in a round deep frying pan. Add curry leaves, dried chilies, jeera, mustard, fennel, ginger and garlic. Fry for 1 min.
2. Add the sliced onions and fry till golden brown. Add potatoes ,turmeric powder, chili powder and salt. Mix well. Cover and let it cook till potatoes are tender. Just before turning off the heat, increase heat and cook 1 min till the potatoes get slightly browned.
