Method

  • 1. Heat the oil gentely and saute the onion and garlic till soft.

  • 2.Add the remaining ingredients.

  • 3.Cover and cook for 20-30 mins or until the sauce is slightly thickned.

  • 4.Serve with hot pasta (Penne or Spagetti is best) with basil leaves if desired.

  • Ingredients

    • 30 ml Olive Oli
    • 2 cloves Finely Chopped Garlic
    • 5 ml Sugar
    • 10 ml Dried Oregano
    • 1 Finely Chopped Onion
    • 396g Chopped Tomatoes (fresh is best but tinned is fine)
    • 30 ml Tomato Puree (fresh is best but tinned is fine)
    • To Taste Salt
    • To Taste Fresh Basil Leaves
    • To Taste Freshly Ground Pepper
