Plum Puff Pastry Pie

Method

  • Preheat oven to gas 5.

  • Roll out your pastry until an even thickness, grease your pie dish with the butter and place the pastry in the dish. Leave some pastry back to place in slices on top of the pie.

  • Prick the base with a fork.

  • De-stone your plums - (you could also use cherries, apples, pears etc, whatever fruit you prefer) and slice to medium thickness.

  • Place in the pie dish and sprinkle with sugar.

  • Place your remaining strips of pastry on top of the pie, brush the pastry with milk and place in the oven.

  • Depending on your oven, you may need to keep a watch to ensure it doesn't burn, if it is browning too quickly, turn heat down a little and just extend cooking time.

  • Enjoy! Lovely with custard or cream.

    • ¾ pack Ready made Puff pastry
    • 1 punnet Plums
    • Splash Milk - to glaze
    • 1-2tbs Sugar
    • Knob Butter
