Method

  • 1. Fry the minced beef and the onion until they brown. Then add the stock, garlic, tomatoes and the mushrooms to the beef and onions.
  • 2. Cook for about an hour until the meat mixture thick and rich.

  • 3. To make the white sauce, melt the butter before stirring in the flour and adding the milk.
  • 4. Grate the cheddar cheese and add it to the sauce.

  • 5. In the lasagna pan, lay the ingredients repeatedly: start with the meat, then the pasta and then the white sauce.
  • 6. Sprinkle Parmesan Cheese on top of the lasagna and bake in the oven at 400°F / 200°C for about 45 minutes.

    • This is how I make my lasagna too but I cook it in the morning - allow to cool and then reheat for 30 mins when needed and everyone says it tastes even better because the meat is really flavoursome and the lasagna soft inside and crispy nearer the top. Yum!
