Valentina Harris' Torta Di Mele (Italian Apple Cake)
Method
Ingredients
- 3 Large eggs
- 150g Caster sugar
- 200g Plain white flour sifted
- 150ml Milk
- ½ Grated zest of lemon
- 1 heaped tsp Baking powder sifted
- 60g Butter cut into small pieces - plus extra for greasing
- 3 tbs Stale breadcrumbs
- 1kg Dessert apples peeled and thinly sliced
- 2tbs Granulated or light brown sugar

I made this cake today, it was absolutely delicious! The apples make it incredibly moist and it isn't too sweet at all. I'd definitely recommend this recipe!

This sounds yummy! I have tons of apples on my tree at home that need using... I think this could be perfect. Can't wait to try!
