Honey Cake

1. combine all ingredients in mixing bowl, not bicarbonate of soda. When mixed cover with a plate for one hour.

2. measure 200ml of boiling water add 3/4 of a dessert spoon of bicarbonate of soda.

3. Mix the bicarbonate of soda to the mixture.

Then pour into a 2lb cake tin.

4. Cook for 45mins on 150c gas mark 4 then turn down 130c gas mark 1 for 1/2 hr.

Huh? why is this called honey cake, there is no honey in it?
