Sticky Toffee Pudding

This pudding with dates is great with cream or custard as well.


1. Put dates, bicarb and vanilla with boiling
2. Cream margarin and sugar, add beaten egg.
3. Gradually fold in flour, baking powder.
4. Add dates and water mixture.
5. Pour into greased dish.


Sauce ------
Vanilla Essence 1 Tsp.
Boiling Water ½ Pt.
Stoned Dates 6 Oz
Bicarbonate Of Soda 1 Tsp.
Egg 1
Baking Powder 1 Tsp.
Self Raising Flour 8 Oz
Granulated Sugar 6 Oz
Soft Margarin 2 Oz
Brown Sugar 5 Oz
Margarin 3 Oz
Whipping Cream 4 Tbsp.
