Sticky Toffee Pudding
Ingredients
- 2 oz soft margarin
- 6 oz granulated sugar
- 8 oz self raising flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. bicarbonate of soda
- 6 oz stoned dates
- ½ pt. boiling water
- 1 tsp. vanilla essence
- ------ sauce
- 5 oz brown sugar
- 3 oz margarin
- 4 tbsp. whipping cream
Method
- 1. Put dates, bicarb and vanilla with boiling
water.
2. Cream margarin and sugar, add beaten egg.
3. Gradually fold in flour, baking powder.
4. Add dates and water mixture.
5. Pour into greased dish.
