Method

  • Fry the onions in the butter without browning until soft. Add the stock and seasoning. Bring to the boil and simmer for 20 minutes. Blend with a hand blender. In a bowl mix together the flour with the milk. Add this to the soup and bring to the boil stirring all the time. Check seasoning and serve.
  • Ingredients

    • 1oz Butter
    • 1lb Onions Sliced
    • 1 ½pints Water + 1 chicken stock cube
    •  Salt and Pepper
    • 1 Tbsp Plain Flour
    • ¼ pint Milk
