Method
Heat about tbls oil or butter in large pot. add lentils, onion, carrots and turnip and cook for about 5 mins.
Add in water and stock cubes and salt and pepper and simmer until lentils and vegetables are cooked-about 40-50 mins usually.
Serve with crusty loaf of bread.
Ingredients
- 2 ham stock cubes
- approx 2 pts water
- salt and pepper
- 2-3 carrots diced
- about ½ small turnip diced
- 1 onion diced
- 60g lentils-non soak ones
