Method

  • Place 2 table spoons oil in a pan, add 1/2 tea spoon whole cumin seeds.

  • Add carrots, peas, corn and stir fry on high heat for 3-4 minutes.

  • Add all the masala.

  • Cook with vegetables until the vegetables are nearly done.

  • Make a layer of cooked rice and vegetables in a serving plate.

  • Serve hot.
  • Ingredients

    • 1 serving bowl Basmati rice cooked as written on packet instruction
    • 2 Carrots cut thin and round
    • ½ bowl Peas
    • ½ bowl Corn (sweet corn tin)
    •  Masala - salt to taste 1/4 tea spoon red chilli powder 1/2 tea spoon sugar 1/4 tea spoon turmeric powder 1/2 tea spoon coriander-cumin powder (ready made) 1/2 tea spoon whole cumin seeds

    A very filling rice dish, can be served with cucumber rauta (yogurt).
