This recipe belongs to 'Cake Time'
For the Cake
1.Melt the chocolate (8oz) togther with the butter in a double boiler.
2. Separate the eggs and whisk the yolks with the sugar until smooth and creamy.
3. Add the chocolate mixture whilst beating very fast (to avoid lumpiness)
4. Whisk egg whites until stiff
5. Fold flour into the chocolate mixture and then fold in egg whites until you have a smooth mixture.
6. Pour into a well lined 7 inch cake tin
7. Put into preheated oven (400 deg F) and cook for half an hour
For the Icing
8. Add sugar to butter and heat in saucepan.
9. Once the butter is melted add in the milk and chocolate(4oz) to the mixture and mix
10. Pour over cake while icing is still quite warm
What is menier/Meunier chocolate? Just looked it up on Google and it came up with a theatre. Is it dark and milk chocolate with so many cocoa solids in it?
