Method

  • This is quite a mild chilli so its suitable for kids, but if you like it a bit hotter add all the chilli seeds or even add another 1 or 2 chillies.

  • Gently fry the onion,pepper, garlic and chillies in tbls of oil in large saucepan.

  • Add mince and brown.

  • Add tomato puree and tinned tomatoes. You might want to add some water or stock to thin it down if you like.

  • Simmer for about 30-40 minutes.

  • Serve with boiled rice or salad or in flour tortillas with salsa and sour cream.

    • 500g minced beef
    • 1 onion chopped
    • 2 cloves of garlic finely chopped
    • 2 tbls tomato puree
    • 1 tin of chopped tomatoes
    • 2 chillies finely chopped (with or without seeds)
    • 1 pepper (any colour) chopped
