Cinnamon and Raisin Porridge

Method

  • Combine the water and salt in a small saucepan and turn the heat to
  • high.
  • When the water boils, turn the heat to low, add oatmeal, and cook, stirring,
  • until the water is just absorbed, about 5 minutes. Add cinnamon,
  • raisins, and walnuts, stir, cover the pan and turn off heat. Leave to set for
  • 5 minutes.
  • Serve with milk and honey.

    • i love this dish except i always use milk and cook in the microwave.I soak the oats overnight and the raisins/sultanas(in water)m.w 4-6 mins then smooth usinghand blender.then add your toppings and enjoy!

    • This is Breakfast is totally orgasmic but can you do a imperial and metric and US weights and measures converter it would help us all please for each recipe page thanks also an amount up scaler so if your making for more than the recommended servings it automatically ups the amounts or lowers it depending for how many your cooking for

    • ½ cup raisins (optional)
    • ¼ cup chopped walnuts
    • to taste soya milk or skimmed milk
    • to taste honey
