Lactose Free Scones with Rapeseed Oil

Method

  • Pre heat oven to 190 degrees gas mark 5. Mix the flour and baking powder and sieve into a bowl. Add sugar. Drain your soaked sultanas, a pinch of salt and 150ml of the Yare Valley rapesee oil (www.yarevalleyoils.co.uk). Mix well and add enough soya milk so that a dough is made. Press the dough an inch and a half thick and cut out circles with cutter. Place on a non stick baking tray and put in oven for 10-15 minutes or until firm to touch.
  • Ingredients

    • 500g Sel Raising Flour
    • 2 tsp Baking Powder
    • 2 Handfuls Sultans soaked in ginger or any other specialty tea
    • 2 Tbsp Caster Sugar
    • 1 pinch Salt
    • 150ml Yare Valley Rapeseed oil
    • Enough to soften dough Soya Milk

    Perect for those who love scones, but can't have cows milk, or you could use milk insted of soya if need be. A delicious British Classic using the healthy and tasty rapeseed oil.
