Method

  • Cream margarine and sugar, add beaten egg,vanilla essence and flour.
  • Form into small balls with wet hands and roll in the rice crispies. Tip: keep a bowl of cold water handy.
  • Place on lightly greased baking sheet and flatten
  • Bake in moderate oven for 15-20 minutes

    • We make this same recipe but substitute the rice krispies for crushed cornflakes - my kids love them !

    • 10 oz Self raising flour
    • 8oz Soft margarine
    • 6oz caster sugar
    • drop Vanilla essence
    • 1 egg
    • 4 cup fulls Rice crispies
