Method

  • in a pan combine the tomatoes,bay leaf and peppercorns with one cup of waterand bring to a boil.simmer for 10 to 15 minutestill the tomatoes are soft.remove the bay leaf cool the mixture and blend it .strain the puree and keep aside.heat the butter in a pan, add the refined flour and cook it over a slow flame for few seconds.add 1 cup of waterand stir it continuously so that no lumps remain.add the tomatomixture, tomato puree,sugar salt and bring to boil.add the cream and mix well. servehot garnish with cream and bread crumbs as required.

    • 1 table spoon plain flour
    • 1 spoon butter
    • 1/ 4 cup tomato puree
    •  sugar if required
    • 1and 1/ 2spoon cream

    • 4 spoon fried bread crumbs for serving
