Method

  • 1. Oven 190C

  • 2. Peel, core and thinly slice apples.

  • 3. Put in pan with a little water and sugar, heat gently till starting to soften.

  • 4. Rub margarine into flour till resembles breadcrumbs, stir in sugar.

  • 5. Put apples, cinnamon into dish.
  • Cover with crumble and bake for 30 mins.

  • Variations:
  • 1. Apple and blackberry,plum, apple and date, tinned fruit.

  • 2. You can replace 1oz flour with 1oz of cocoa for crumble for a decadent pud!

    • 1lb Cooking Apples
    • 1-2 tablespoons Sugar
    • ½ teaspoon Cinnamon
    • 3oz Margarine
    • 6oz SR Flour
    • 2oz Sugar
