Ingredients

  • 40 gm Butter or margarine
  • 60 gm Caster Sugar
  • 3 Tablesp Self Raising Flour
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teasp Baking Powder
  • +- 2 tablesp Hot Water
  • 3 Large Cooking apples grated or other fruit

Method

Beat margarine and sugar until creamy. Add egg and beat and then add flour and baking powder. Thin down the mixture with the hot water until it is like thick cream. Pour over the fruit and bake for about 1 hour at 150C/300F/gas 3.
