Method
peel the potatoes and slice thinly
layer in well greased oven proof dish with onions,seasoning,bacon,herbs & cheese.
warm milk pour over
moderate oven 190' for 1hr15mins
remove lid and dot with one oz margarine and sprinke with the grated cheese.
return to oven for 30mins
Tips
- you can leave the bacon and cheese out.

- 2 ½ lbs Potatoes
- 2-3 onion thinly sized
- salt and pepper
- 4oz chopped lean bacon (optional)
- 1tsp mixed herbs
- 4oz grated cheese mature chedder
- 1pint milk
