Method

  • 1. Pre-heat the oven to about 180oC

  • 2. Fry the meatballs in a frying pan until virutally cooked. You don't normally need to add any oil to the pan as the shop bought meatballs are normally a little bit fatty anyway.

  • 3. Transfer the meatballs to an oven proof dish, pour over the jar of tomato and chilli sauce (M&S one is good or try the lloyd grossman one) and mix in

  • 4. tear the mozerella into pieces and lay over the top of the meatballs and sauce. Rip the basil leaves and sprinkle over the top (along with the parmesan if using - you won't need much)

  • 5. Bake for about 25 mins until all the cheese is oozing and the sauce is bubbling!

  • Best served with Tagliatelle I think.
  • Tips

    • Me and my boyfriend scoff this between the 2 of us but it is a huge portion and could easily serve 4 if you pad it out with something like garlic bread and salad!!

    Ingredients

    • 1 jar of tomato and chilli sauce
    • 1 pack of meatballs (raw from refridgerated section in the supermarket)
    • 1 pack of mozzerella
    • good handful Fresh Bazil
    • (optional) grated parmesan
