1. Sift flour & baking powder into a bowl add margarine, sugar, eggs & vanilla, whisk well.
2. Divide mixture between two greased sandwich tins and bake for 20 minutes gas mark 3
3. Place margarine, icing sugar & vanilla in a bowl and whisk until light & fluffy 3-4 minutes.
4. When cakes are cold spread one half with half the butter icing and the other with jam, sandwich together and put the rest of the butter icing on the top and decorate
