Bacon and Onion Roly Poly Easy Peasy Style

Suet pastry with bacon and onion centre


Mix together, flour, suet, salt and water to form a dough.

Roll out dough into a large rectangle

Cover the rolled out dough in a layer of onion and bacon.

From the narrow end roll up into a sausage

Place on a greased and floured baking tray in the centre of a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 40 mins to 1 hour untill golden brown.


Pinch Of Salt To Taste
Veggie Suet Or Beef Suet 125g
Self Raising Flour 225g
Smoked Streaky Bacon Cut Unto Lardons 1-2 Packs
Onion Chopped 1 Large
Water 120 Ml

Hints 'n' Tips

Leave to stand for 5 mins before cutting.

You could put anything you want in this alongside the bacon. Ive done it with Chorizo before. Tasty! Try your own variation!!
