Bacon On Potatoes Easy Peasy Style

Method

  • Peel and chop carrots and put into a large sauce pan.

  • Peel onion, cut in half and slice, lay on top of carrots.

  • Peel and chop potoes and put on top of carrots and onions.

  • Cover the potatoes carrots and onion in water just untill it covers.

  • Season with a bit of pepper

  • Lay the bacon on top and cover pan with a lid

  • Bring to the boil and simmer for 10-15 mins untill potatoes and bacon are cooked through.

  • Searve in a bowl and use the water from the pan as a gravy, you can thicken it if you want with some cornflour or flour.
  • Tips

    • Lovely severd with a wedge of buttered crusty bread!

      You can add what veg u like really, its very versatile. No salt is needed because of the salt content of the bacon.

    Ingredients

    • 12 Rashers Smoked Bacon
    • 5 Large ish potatoes
    • 3 Large Carrots
    • 1 Medium Onion
    • To taste Pepper
