  • You can use the pastry for most other sweet pastry dishes as-well!

    Ingredients

    • 10 oz plain flour
    • 8 oz butter or margarine
    • 1 tspn baking powder
    • 1 large egg
    • 2 tspns caster sugar
    • 1 large egg
    • 2 tspns caster sugar

    Method

    • 1.Rub flour and marge together, then mix in the rest to make a not-to-hard dough.
      2.If crummy, add cold water.
3.Leave to set in fridge for an hour.
4.cut large circles and put them in a baking tray to form a dish shape.
      5. Add the filling.
6.Cut out smaller circles and use them as lids.
7.place the lids on and brush with 1 beaten egg mixed with 2 tspns of Caster sugar.
      8.Bake for 10-15 mins.
      9.Sprinkle with icing sugar
