Method

  • 1. Grease the baking tray and line with greaseproof paper.

  • 2. Gently heat the butter, cocoa,sugar and syrupin a large pan.

  • 3. Put the digestive biscuits in a bag and crunch until crumbly - not too finme just make sure you break up all the big bits.

  • 4. Take the sugar mixture off the heat and fold in the biscuits.

  • 5. Press the cake mixture firmly into the tray with the back of a wooden spoon.

  • 6. Chill for 2 hours in the fridge and then cut into squares.

    • 1 small packet digestive biscuits
    • 2oz butter
    • 2 tbsp caster sugar
    • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
    • 2 tbsp golden syrup
    • 8 in baking tray
