Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix together to a loose paste.
Taste and add any of the ingredients you think you might need a bit more of. This is all down to personal taste.
Lemon, lime or vinegar may be added if you require a sharper taste or a tbs of honey if you like your marinade sweeter and stickier or pinch of chilli if a bit of heat is required.
Marinade your meat/Fish for a minimum of 2 hours but preferably overnight. Works well in conventional oven as well as the barbecue.
