Apple and Honey Cake

Method

  • 1. Ask an adult to help you pre-heat the oven. Grease the loaf tin and line with greaseproof paper.

  • 2. Peel, core and chop the apples

  • 3. Mix the oil with the honey, then mix in the eggs.

  • 4. Sift the flour, salt and spices into the bowl.

  • 5. Add the apple pieces and stir.

  • 6. Pour the mixture into the tin and with an adult's help, bake for about 45 minutes.

  • 7. The cake is done when it is golden brown on top and a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean. Cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then turn out on to a wire rack.

    • 225g self raising flour
    • ½ tsp salt
    • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
    • ½ tsp ground ginger
    • ½ tsp Ground Nutmeg
