Method

  • Rinse herrings incold water. Mince the herrings and then grate apple and onion and squeeze out the liquid. Grate the hard boiled eggs and the squeezed out bread. Add salt and pepper to taste and add brown vinegar and sugar to flavour. Mix well and spread on a flat dish and then decorate with grated egg.
  • Ingredients

    • 4 shmaltz Herrings
    • 3 Hard boiled eggs
    • 1 Apple
    • 1 Slice Soaked bread
    • 1 Large onion
    • to taste salt and pepper
    • to flavour brown vinegar
    • to taste sugar
