Ginger Biscuits

Method

  • Melt sugar, margarine and golden syrup in a pan.
  • Add rest of ingedients mix well.
  • Roll into small balls then roll in a little flour, put on greased baking tray. Do not put them too close together as they will spread.

  • Bake until golden brown: gas mark 3-4 aprox 20 mins.
  • 160-180º C
  • 325º-350ºF
  • Tips

    • If you find these biscuits abit hard on the teeth try dipping them in your tea for 2-3 seconds to soften them. I know you shouldn´t really dip food into your tea but I think sometimes you can make an exception with ginger biscuits!!

    • 10 oz Flour (self raising)
    • 4 oz sugar
    • 4 oz margarine
    • 4 oz golden syrup
    • 1½ teaspoons Ginger (powdered)
    • ½ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
