Heat milk in a saucepan until almost boiling. Add chocolate pieces and whisk with a balloon whisk until the chocolate has melted. Add sugar to taste (and brandy). Pour into mug and top with chocolate flakes or mini marshmallows. Serve with a flake instead of a spoon (imagine!)
Tips
Some large chain coffee shops sell chocolate mixers that you could serve with instead of a spoon. This is vegetarian without the marshmallows.
