Method

  • 1. Heat the oil in a large pan.
  • 2. Add the onions, garlic, leek, carrots and
  • salt.
  • 3. Turn the heat down, cover it and cook it for
  • 10 mins.
  • 4. Stir the tomatoes and sugar into it.
  • 5. Bring the heat up high and cook for about 5
  • mins.,stir it, then add water.
  • 6. Bring the soup up to simmering and cook,
  • uncovered, for 1 hour.
  • 7. Blend the soup, then add the milk.

    • This is a great recipe, have nearly eaten all my helpings, so will have to make some more very soon :)

    • Im cooking this soup right now and so far so good. The only thing i would change is i added more veg ( practically anything that i could find) and also i wont be blending it as i like it whole. But on te whole a very good recipe also extremely easy. Thanks.

    • 2 garlic cloves. crushed
    • 1 leek. finely chopped
    • 4 carrots sliced
    • 10 oz tinned tomatoes
    • 500 ml water
    • 250 ml milk
    • 1 tbsp. sugar
    • 2 tsp. salt
