Method

  • 1. Set the oven to Gas mark 5, 375f/190c.
  • 2. Melt butter 1 in saucepan and fry onion, garlic and mushrooms until tender. Devide mixture between four dishes.
  • 3. Place butter 2, flour and milk in a saucepan. Heat, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens and boils.
  • 4. Add seasoning (half the cheese and cream).
  • 5. Pour over mushroom mixture and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
  • 6. Bake for 15 mins in oven, or until brown under a hot grill.

    • i notice the dish has cheese in it can ia ask how much as you have not stated as i wouldnt mine trying this dish as a starter for a dinner party thanks

    • 1 Crushed Garlic Clove
    • 8 oz thickly sliced mushrooms
    • 1 oz butter or margarine (no.2)
    • 1 oz Flour
    • ½ pint milk
    • to taste salt and pepper
    • 1 tbspn Single Cream
    • To taste Parsley
