Mushroom and Cheddar Starter
Method
1. Set the oven to Gas mark 5, 375f/190c. 2. Melt butter 1 in saucepan and fry onion, garlic and mushrooms until tender. Devide mixture between four dishes. 3. Place butter 2, flour and milk in a saucepan. Heat, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens and boils. 4. Add seasoning (half the cheese and cream). 5. Pour over mushroom mixture and sprinkle with remaining cheese. 6. Bake for 15 mins in oven, or until brown under a hot grill.

1 ½ oz butter or margarine 1 chopped onion 1 Crushed Garlic Clove 8 oz thickly sliced mushrooms 1 oz butter or margarine (no.2) 1 oz Flour ½ pint milk to taste salt and pepper 1 tbspn Single Cream To taste Parsley

i notice the dish has cheese in it can ia ask how much as you have not stated as i wouldnt mine trying this dish as a starter for a dinner party thanks
