Method

  • 1. Melt the butter and mix it into the crushed biscuits.

  • 2. Spread this biscuits base in a tin and leave it.

  • 3. Heat the butter and sugar in a saucepan. When the sugar has dissolved add the syrup and condensed milk.

  • 4. Boil the mix, than lower the heat and simmer for 3-4 mins.

  • 5. When cooled slightly, pour it onto the biscuit base.

  • 6. Chill for at least 1 hour.

  • 7. Put the banana slices over the toffee.

  • 8. Whip the cream with the honey and place it on top of the pie.

    • 100g butter
    • 500g  digestive biscuits crumbed

    • FOR THE CARAMEL FILLING
    • 250g butter
    • 200g caster sugar
    • 4 tbsp golden syrup
    • 400g condensed milk

    • FOR THE TOPPING
    • 8 ripe bananas sliced
    • 600ml double cream (whipped)
    • 1 tbsp honey
